Our founder, Uri Pomerantz, has spent his career where fintech, proptech, and AI meet entrepreneurship and investing. His focus on entrepreneurship began in college, when he co-founded a nonprofit microcredit fund after losing a family member in a terrorist attack. Their pioneering model scaled to thousands of businesses, spread a message of economic optimism and peace to millions, and led to a lifelong focus on using technology and business to create a better world.
A software engineer by training, Uri taught computer science and worked on software and early AI at Microsoft, emerging technology at IBM, and at leading AI companies. He later founded and led multiple tech businesses, including a technology company that helped hundreds of financial advisers better serve the middle class and was acquired by one of the largest insurance companies in the world, and a digital lender that served thousands of small-business owners in Latin America. He has also served as an investor, venture partner, board member, and adviser — including as a board member and investor in fintech, proptech, and SaaS companies.

Those experiences shaped how we think about growth. Technology matters, but it is never the whole story. We see AI as a tool that can help teams serve customers better, make decisions faster, and find new ways to grow.
